Top 10 Early Signs of Pregnancy
Early pregnancy symptoms during the 2 weeks before a positive pregnancy test
You just inseminated a couple of days ago and maybe you're feeling unusual aches and pains. Or possibly you're feeling unusually tired. Does this mean you are pregnant? This is such a common question that I figured it would be helpful to share more details from what I learned when I surveyed over 100 pregnant women that got pregnant while in the Black Sperm Donors Group.
The recipients that filled out the survey went into a lot of detail explaining their pregnancy journey. Symptoms in the two week wait (TWW) were covered detail.
Here are the top ten symptoms recipients reported having in the days between when they inseminated and their first positive pregnancy test:
10. Fever 5.2%
9. Spotting - 4.3%
8. No symptoms - 9.6%
7. Vivid dreams - 20.9%
6. Headaches - 30.4%
The two must surprising to me were that only about 10% of recipients reported having no symptoms and over 20% had vivid dreams! 😱😱
The next set of symptoms were experienced by between 35% to 60% of all recipients in the survey. These next set of early pregnancy signs were the most common
5. Bloating - 35.7%
4. Nausea - 36.6%
3. Fatigue - 49.6%
2. Cramping - 54.8%
Tender / Sore / Swollen Breasts - 58.3%
Sore, tender and/or swollen breasts was the #1 symptom recipients reported during their TWW. Almost 6 out of 10 recipients reported this symptom.
Honorable mentions
There were several other symptoms mentioned by recipients that didn't make the top 10 list. The most common of those were frequent urination, some sort of change in sense of taste of smell.
Summary
These results suggest that 90% of recipient experience at least one noticeable symptom during the two week wait. Hopefully this post provides some information on what to look out for
