Donation methods (AI, NI, PI, Shipping) offered in the Black Sperm Donor Group
What methods do donors in the black sperm donor group offer? And what is the prevalence of each method?
In an ideal situation donation method would never be a reason why a donor-recipient match was not made. However, in practice, this is one of several reasons why members move on from otherwise suitable candidates.
What methods do donors in the black sperm donors group offer? And what is the prevalence of each method? Is method mismatch an overwhelming cause of incompatibility in the group? There are common questions that get raised in the group quite often - with many making assertions based only in speculation.
As of January 2023. The breakdown of the methods offered by the current set of active in the group is as follows:

18% of donors offer AI as the only option
9% offer NI/PI as the only option
73% offer all methods.
Here’s another way to look at the data.
Here are the percentage of donors a recipient can potentially choose from if depending on the method of preference:

82% of the donors offer NI as an option
90% offer AI as an option
58% offer PI as an option
2% offer shipping
How does this data match with the sentiment in the group
From these data, whenever the method is AI or NI, it doesn't appear that method mismatch is an overwhelming cause of incompatibility between donors and recipients. This is because roughly 90% of donors offer AI and 80% offer NI. However, it's not uncommon to see posts and comments bemoaning a lost matching opportunity due to method mismatch. Usually from recipients seeking AI but running into donors offering NI or PI only.
Another interesting conclusion can glean from the data around shipping method. Only a tiny number of donors offer shipping as an option and, from all indications, the demand for shipping is quite high. This method has by far the largest supply-demand gap. However sentiment around the dearth of shipping donors is generally neutral.
PI is rarely raised as an option in recipients' posts but a majority of donors are open to that method. Sentiment around this method is hard to gauge.
